Season One - watch Now
Queer as Folk is about the lives of a group of gay men and women living in Pittsburgh who, like anyone, are focused on their relationships, careers, loves and ambitions. The series is a realistic, funny and sometimes graphic portrayal of a minority community living in present-day society.
It's not West Hollywood, it's not the Castro and it's not Chelsea. It may be a small world -- a gay Main Street with a couple of bars, a disco, a few shops and a diner -- but its reverberations are universal.
Queer as Folk is an unapologetic celebration of life in its varied forms. And as always, in the differences we discover the similarities that make us all human.

The first, groundbreaking, season of Queer as Folk introduced the series' main characters: Michael, an insecure 29 year-old, Brian, an ad executive who isn't into relationships, and Justin, a wide-eyed and innocent 17 year old.
Season Two delves even further into their sometimes uneasy relationship as well as their romantic trysts and longings and all the thrills and pitfalls of being young and gay.
Just as hilarious, dramatic, and touching as the first season, the second round of episodes offers an even deeper look into the lives of Michael, Brian, and Joe as well as their friends.

Ted faces the prospect of growing older in the gay community and trying to look attractive by undergoing cosmetic surgery, until he realizes that true love is a lot closer than he thinks.
Melanie and Lindsay face marital troubles over the course of the season but eventually reunite and decide to move to Canada, where they can raise their two children without the prejudices they face in the U.S.
Emmett gets a new job in front of the TV cameras.
Debbie makes a decision to retire, until the new person she hires, Loretta, makes her see that all play and no work makes Deb bored.
Ben tries to bond with distant son Hunter with the help of his partner, Michael. Michael, meanwhile, works on his comic book and spearheads the campaign against Proposition 14, a legislative move meant to outlaw gay marriage and prevent homosexuals from adopting.
And finally, the series-long romance between playboy Brian and artist Justin reaches its pinnacle with a marriage proposal.
