Mike Wilmot

(as Michael Valmont-Selkirk)

Mike Valmont-Selkirk is the Executive Director of the Selkirk Foundation, a position he got by virtue of being married to Selena Selkirk (they are now separated). He’s an arrogant, boorish yet like-able man – the William Shatner of the charity world – intent on climbing the social ladder.

Mike is a middle class kid who knocked up the wealthy Selena Selkirk (the Foundation founder’s grand-daughter). He both resents the wealthy and craves their approval. Mike’s main interest in charity is what he can get out of it. The one person Mike really does love is his daughter Cody.

He’s not intentionally evil, just ignorant and selfish. He’s also consumed by jealously of Rejean Lemelin’s success. Mike’s a champ when it comes to turning on the fake charm and is, in his own obnoxious way, a lovable buffoon.
