Peter Andrews is a workaholic accountant with no interest in the holidays. What he doesn't realize that is he has shut out everyone from his life, including his fiancé Jill. When Jill decides she can't go through with the marriage, Peter finds his calling in helping the less fortunate. He meets a homeless man named Bob, who inspires Peter to start a choir at the homeless shelter.
With the help of Sister Agatha and the men at the shelter, Peter turns his life around, making the choir's success his main priority. He even meets a new love interest, Marilyn Stone, who works in the subway station where the choir performs.
