Drop Dead Diva - S2E12 - "Bad Girls" Blog

Friday, January 21, 2011 8:00 AM

This week’s episode was infused with a variety of hot topics:

1)    Sexting between teens and the risks involved (and the way in which it can lead to cyberbullying)
2)    The need for “alone time” in relationships
3)    The dangers of setting up one's friend on a date with one's ex
4)    Pressure from parents to have babies

Talk about heavy duty! I can relate to the need for “alone time”. One on one time with oneself is key, in my opinion, to maintaining a long-term successful relationship--especially in Stacy and Fred’s case since the two of them live together.

Now on the topic of sexting and how it can lead to cyberbullying, I have three words to the youth out there who may be reading this in hopes of helping the cause to prevent this: “Don’t do it!” Taking and sharing nude photos is up there with one of the stupidest things one could do, and brings with it great risk. I’m glad to hear, however, some police forces are starting to educate kids early on about the risks involved with these actions (see here for an interesting article on the subject).

Moving on, I don’t know if I quite understand why anyone would set their friend up with their ex. I guess it depends on a few factors, such as: how serious were you and your ex and/or are you and your ex friends? And if your friend and your ex hit it off, do you really want to hear about it? I think this is bad all around. Any success stories out there?

On the surface, Grayson and Jane keep having meaningful and heartfelt conversations. You know the type, the conversations where you stare at each other a little longer than you should. So what’s going to happen next? When’s Grayson or Jane going to make a move already?

Well, until next time, ta ta for now divas!
