Do you believe in ghosts? Have you actually seen or had an experience with something you would call a ghost? Anyone? If so, I want to hear your story.
In this week’s episode Grayson defends a couple who claims their newly bought house is haunted. Of course Grayson doesn’t even believe at first that this is true, until he enters the home and has an experience with what appears to be the ghost of Deb.
I know people who believe in ghosts or even claim to have seen a ghost. But how can one be sure what they’re seeing isn’t a hallucination? Or, if one is claiming they heard a ghost, not seen, how can they be sure that’s just not some strange coincidence of an unexplainable sound?
I’m sure science can somehow rebut most ghostly claims. I, however, like to believe in some form of an afterlife, because the idea of this life being all there is just doesn’t seem right to me.
The Hollywood classic Ghost, with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, romances this idea of ghostly encounters. It created a slightly comedic and cheesy love film on this idea. Yet, for all that cheese, if you were to ask me if I would like some wine to go with it? My answer would be, “Yes, please!”
So my feelings on the afterlife and the possibility of lingering spirits could be the result of my hopeless romantic and slightly overly emotional nature.
That said, I cannot claim I have had a ghostly encounter – which brings me to my original question? Have you?
Until next time, ta ta divas.
