Chimps! Oh how these furry, distant cousins of ours tug at my heartstrings every time I see one on TV. The cute little chimp in this episode was a great distraction from the fact that the Jane and Grayson tension continues, Fred is still not with Stacy, and that Deb’s mother Bobbie has another daughter (played by LeeLee Sobieski) that she gave up for adoption before she met Deb’s father. But I heart Fred! (Can’t we see more of him, and of him and Stacy as an “item”?)

The heart of this episode, however, revolved around Bobbie and the fact that Jane still can’t tell anyone from Deb’s life that she is Deb. I can’t image being alive in another person’s body and not running up to my mother or sister and saying, “It’s me! Tina! It really is!” and trying to tell them every story about me to prove it.

Perhaps that’s one reason this show continues to hook me – trying to imagine the reality of living in a seemingly fictional situation such as Deb’s has me constantly wondering what a life like this would be like. How would I handle it? How would you handle it?

But for right now, as we wait for the hearty storylines to unfold, I want to see more face-time with Fred as I’ve developed a bona fide crush on him!  Am I alone here? Should I join his Facebook fan page? 

On that note, clearly my Fred-clouded brain is all out of thoughts for this week, until next time I’ll be creating imaginary romantic scenarios for him and Stacy falling in love, in my head.

P.S. Back to the chimp, as much as I love to see our furry cousins on TV, I hope he was given the royal treatment on set!
