This week, Drop Dead Diva featured a man who had spent nine years in a fugue state, living under another identity. Serious stuff for Diva, but potent food for thought. Especially since I didn't know much about fugue states... except that they exist. So I paused the episode, fired up the Google, and landed on an article about fugue states, which presented me with a sidebar link to another article about lobotomies, which I also clicked on. After several hours of tangential web exploration, my ignorance punished me by pointing my browser to details on Dr. Walter Freeman's prefrontal "ice-pick" lobotomy technique which was popular in the mid-20th century. And then I remembered that I still have to watch the rest of the episode. And then I vowed to stop watching TV with a computer in my lap.
Unpause.
So Jane and Tony are over? O-V-E-R for good?! My heart sank a little for Jane when Tony stormed out of her office. And now I’m curious to know what men think when a woman calls and calls (and maybe calls again) -- what do you think? Would any guys appreciate that level of eagerness from a woman?
Further to that, do you or do you not call a man you think is avoiding you? And if you do, do you proceed to leave him a message when he doesn’t answer? Do you leave a second message if you don’t hear from him after the first?
What's a girl to do? Modern relationships are confusing.
Watch this week's episode, if you haven't already, and chime in with your comments. I would appreciate the input.
Until next time -- ta ta, divas.
