From the Pure Pwnage Family: Episode 2 of Brotherhood of Leet

Tuesday, August 03, 2010 11:40 AM

A quick refresher: Brotherhood of Leet is a unique re-visioning of the 8 Bit Wars between video game companies Nintendo and Sega in the mid 1980s through the lens of epic world war dramas like Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers. The series tells the fictional history of a platoon called the Pixel Dogs as they fight in the 8 Bit Wars.

A few months back, we shared the premiere episode of Brotherhood of Leet: 8 Bit Wars with readers of this blog, because readers of this blog tend to like things that have to do with Pure Pwnage. (Brotherhood is produced by Davin Lengyel, a co-producer of Pure Pwnage.)

In episode 2, entitled "Bad Pins", we witness the spectacle of Nintendo's launch day in Europe in 1986. The Gamer Army experiences heavy losses when their attack helicopters meet heavy resistance from the Segite Missile Command. Down but not out, the Pixel Dogs pull together a desperate offensive against a Sega occupied village in France, bringing the early NES game "Commando" to life.
