There’s something about a babe in uniform, especially when
the uniform is a white coat and stethoscope and the babe has — ahem — superior
knowledge of the human body. The latest entry in the long lineage of TV medical dramas is Jada Pinkett Smith's HawthoRNe, which airs Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT on Showcase, but she's far from the first hot nurse to grace the small screen. Here's a list of TV’s medical professionals that make us
want to get (a) physical.
Jada Pinkett Smith, HawthoRNeShe takes no bullshit but has a heart of gold—and as nurse
Christina Hawthorne, Jada Pinkett Smith looks pretty fierce in her scrubs.
George Clooney, ER
The classic hospital ensemble drama, ER shot Clooney to
fame, so we’re glad he didn’t let Hollywood go to his head and came back to
reprise his role as Dr. Ross (now married to Nurse Hathaway) for the final
season. We’re also glad ‘cause the
bad boy doc is just so cute.
Tonya Lee Williams, The Young & The Restless
Let’s hear it for the Canadian on the list, Oshawa’s own
Tonya Lee Williams, who’s been repping it as Dr. Olivia Barber Williams since
1990. Though she’s not as fiery as her model sister, Drucilla, Genoa City's own surgeon-oncologist-GP has got a
nerdy charm all her own, which is why Olivia successfully seduced Nathan, Neil and
Malcolm, too.
Olivia Wilde, House
Mysterious Dr. Thirteen has got some cheekbones to die for.
And she’s bisexual, too. Does it get any better?
Patrick Dempsey, Grey’s AnatomyWas there any question who would top this list? McDreamy,
Dr. Derek Shepherd, whatever you want to call him -- he’s the neurosurgeon with
bedroom eyes. Sigh.
