New(ish) to Showcase is Drop Dead Diva, a titillating comedy about skinny model Deb Dobson who kicks the bucket then comes back to earth as - gasp! - bigger-bodied babe-slash-lawyer Jane Dingum. While Deb herself may use the experience to discover "inner beauty," lots of viewers think actress Brooke Elliott has a far hotter bod than the usual tanorexic cable TV actress. In honour of Brooke, here are five other voluptuous beauties who remind us that size isn't everything.
5. Kate Winslet
Although she's in no way actually fat, the British actress has taken a lot of media harassment for not starving herself into a Hollywood size zero. In 2003, Kate publicly admonished GQ for digitally thinnifying her photos, saying "I haven't suddenly lost 30 lbs." We'll give her spot number five on the list for sticking up for women's natural bodies.
4. Queen Latifah
Since leaving music for movies, Latifah has seriously girled herself up, slapping on layers of Maybelline then sliding herself into cocktail dresses. The result is very pretty, but we think she's hot all butched-out, too.
3. Beth Ditto
Simultaneously sweet and badass, the lead singer of nouveau punk outfit the Gossip is indisputably a one-of-a-kind style maven. That's why the big glossy fashion rags keep dolling her up for their pages despite the fact that she's a big fat dyke. With her massive attitude and humongous voice, Beth is all about going big or going home.

Watching JHud hoist that Oscar was a victory for voluptuous ladies everywhere. For once, talent wasn't forced to play second fiddle to looks, and the truly bootylicious had a day in the sun.

One of the few celebrities to actually share her real weight with the world, Steven Tyler's model daughter tips the scale at 190, all of it curvy. (And just to prove that big doesn't have to equal unhealthy, she's always keen to talk about her fitness routine.) With those tattoos and the sultry Tyler lips, Mia's a pinup for those who like their girls hard and soft at the same time.
