Woke Up Dead is showcase.ca's new zombie comedy ("zom-com") web series starring comedian Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite, Blades of Glory), Josh Gad (The Rocker), Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, 27 Dresses), Jean Smart (24) and Wayne Knight (Seinfeld).

This is Heder's first foray into the world of web TV. He stars as Drex Greene, a recent college grad who undergoes an inexplicable transformation that begins when he wakes up at the bottom of a waterfilled bathtub... dead. Meanwhile, his scoop-hungry roommate Matt (Gad), who has been eagerly filming his demise with a Flip cam, informs him that he has inhumanly been underwater for over 30 minutes. As more zombie-like tendencies begin to set in, Drex starts to think something might be up.

So, is Drex a zombie, or something entirely different? Tune in and follow his saga in Woke Up Dead, only at showcase.ca.

Two episodes of the series are live right now, with a third premiering on Friday, February 5. New episodes will be made available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through late March. We'll also be adding downloads and photos in the weeks to come. So mark your calendars, and mark them in zombie blood.

Other members of the star driven cast include Dan Roebuck (Lost) as the mysterious Shadowman; Ellia English (Curb Your Enthusiasm) as Diana Phillips, Drex’s supervisor; and Meital Dohan (Weeds, The Sopranos) as Aurora.
