Fan Expo is a weird and wonderful place. I spent the better part of a day there in late August at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and came away with a loss for words. For the unfamiliar, Fan Expo is three days of comic books, sci-fi, horror movies, anime, gaming and $7 hot-dogs. I wandered the booths trying to make sense of it all, past a grinning Bruce Campbell, the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld, and '80s wrestling legend The Honky Tonk Man. The wildest part was the costumes, which ranged from totally amazing to totally this:

And at the center of it all stood the
Pure Pwnage dudes, Geoff and Jarrett, holding it down amidst the chaos. Their booth was jammed with fans asking questions about their
upcoming Showcase series, and the guys were kind enough to give us a production update, some insights on their writing process, and what we can expect from the first season, which is set to premiere on Showcase in January 2010. Peep the footage below:
