The intensity definitely picked up with Episode 2 of Weeds. Guillermo is incredibly captivating and creepy. The interaction between him and Nancy is amazing; I absolutely love this budding showdown.
It’s very interesting to see where they’re going with Celia. Her ‘Machetes Up Top’ approach to finding companionship is a stark contrast to the tramping character we loved to hate in the first few seasons. Her demise in Season 4 has spilled over to this season making her somewhat pathetic, but still superbly sarcastic. I wonder how she’ll ever score a meaningful relationship again.
As Doug and Silas seem to be just coasting along as comedic filler, it's Shane that has me very much intrigued. He's the only straight up character of the bunch; I anticipate a pivotal role developing for him as the season rolls on.
Of course Nancy’s sister is wacked and Andy is still so money. It’s totally believable that he could sweep Jill off her feet in a heartbeat. Do you think this fling will have any legs? The answer may lie within the next episode, "Su-Su-Sucio" airing this Sunday at 10pm ET/PT.
Immediately following will be the third episode of our new smash hit original series The Foundation. The episode, called "The Homeless Challenge," was actually shot as the pilot and is for sure my favourite of the bunch (though, in fairness, I’ve yet to see Episode 4, "The African Prince").
As with last week’s episode "Stamina Across Canada," Mike manages to maneuver himself into a competition with his rival Réjean Lemelin (AKA ‘Reg’). And just like in Episode 2, Mike truly is the only one in a competitive mood; however, this time he and Barry have a more difficult time spinning the result in their favour. A trip on the crack pipe ends up being quite costly for Mike.
Once again our crew will be live chatting throughout the episodes this Sunday starting at 10pm ET/PT. The process remains the same: just log into your Twitter account and send us a tweet, or post your comments below by clicking on "Make a Comment" at the top of the dialogue box as we watch both shows.
