When Josh Reid subscribed to the Showcase YouTube channel last week, we noticed that his video library contained dozens of videos of him ‘covering’ his favourite songs by playing his own drums over top of them. We also noticed that the covers are very good, and that young Josh has clearly been squeezing in plenty of practice time.

Needless to say, we couldn’t resist making a request -- and happily, Josh obliged. Click below for his cover of “Little Boxes,” the theme song from Weeds.

Josh – also known as Drummer 0992 – counts Neil Peart of RUSH among his chief influences, alongside the acrobatic Travis Barker. Incidentally, we’d argue that Josh’s version of “Low” by Flo Rida out-Barkers Barker... but I digress.
