Alice, Tasha and Jamie have organized the 2009 LA Gay & Lesbian Centre Dance Marathon, aka Dancing With TLW Stars. Alice promises Bette that their routine 'kills' and that they'll wipe the floor with everyone.
Jenny approaches Bette and asks her if she's told Tina what happened after the gallery event. She questions if Bette has told Tina that she had sex with Kelly at Bette's house. Bette tells Jenny that whatever she thinks she saw, nothing happened. Jenny's not buying Bette's explanation and tells Bette people will find out.
Tina's been offered a job as head of production for Focus Features in New York. Tina's not going to take the job, but Bette says they have to talk about it. Alice has been eavesdropping on their conversation and brings out reasons Bette and Tina need to stay in Los Angeles. She also questions the logic of Marci staying with them.
Sunset Boulevard is the emcee for the marathon. He introduces Jamie, and opening speeches are made by her and Alice. The goal is to raise $250,000. As Bette sees Jenny approaching, she and Tina go onstage to pledge $1500.
Jenny tries to apologize to Helena for what happened with Dylan, but Helena ignores her. Alice tells Helena not to listen to anything Jenny says, she's 'certifiable'.
The dance competition begins. Bette starts telling Tina about Jenny's accusation and is interrupted by Alice asking if they think Jamie is acting weird. Tina says she doesn't think so and Alice leaves. Bette starts explaining to Tina again and Alice interrupts once more about Jamie. She leaves again and Tina asks Bette to continue. Bette says she'll tell her later.
During the first fifteen minute break, Bette happens upon Jodi in the bathroom. Jodi tells Bette that Jenny told her about Kelly, and that Kelly confirmed it. Jodi tells Bette that she's glad she dodged a bullet with her, and it's Tina she feels sorry for. Bette curses Jenny out.
Back on the dancefloor, Alice asks Helena if she thinks something is going on between Tasha and Jamie. Helena confirms that Alice should be worried.
Niki comes in and meets up with Shane. They flirt and Niki apologizes for walking out on Shane when she was sick. Shane tells her not to apologize, some people just aren't good at taking care of others.
Jenny and Shane do a dance number together, which Shane is clearly not into as she told Alice before. Alice receives a pep-talk from Tasha before their routine, and Shane is doing her routine with Niki in the bathroom.
As Bette and Tina are dancing onstage, Dylan appears from nowhere and takes Helena's hand. She apologizes and Helena seems very happy.
Jodi and her partner take to the stage and clearly wipe the floor with everyone else as the winners of the competition portion with perfect scores.
During another break, Jenny approaches Niki with a fundraising idea. Niki should auction off a date with herself. it would raise money and Niki would be super cool for doing that rather than just donating money. Niki agrees to think about it. She falls for Jenny's plan and takes the stage to auction a date with herself, the bidding starts at $500.00. When Jenny offers $25,000.00, there is silence in the room. Jenny goes onstage and takes the microphone. She speaks to Shane, saying that she no loger has to meet with Niki in the bathroom or sneak around anymore. Jenny bought Niki for Shane so she can have her whenever she wants. Everyone is shocked. Go Jenny! Afterward, Jenny digs in on Shane telling her she knows who she is and what she needs and Jenny's not afraid. Shane faces the truth about herself.
As the sun rises in LA and the dance marathon is close to ending, Alice approaches Jamie. She asks Jamie if she has feelings for Tasha. Jamie is silent for a moment then says she would never do anything.
Bette and Tina are at the Greyhound station to pick up Marci. Bette tells Tina that New York feels really right. She can work with the gallery from New York and for their friends, she loves them a lot but like family if they leave LA, they're not leaving them. Tina's excited and they discuss schools. The bus pulls in but after all the passengers have disboarded Bette and Tina are Marci-less.
Back at the marathon, there's a man with the microphone. Kit recognizes him as the man from Bette's gallery. He comes out as Sonny Benson, a straight man who loves his gay and lesbian family and hope they still accept him as they know him - Sunset Boulevard.
As the dance marathon ends, Alice tells Tasha she wants her to be happy and asks if she wants to be with Jamie. Tasha says she's not ready to let Alice go. They are... the last couple standing...
