SeXBOX?

Remember Rockstar’s “hot coffee” incident, when opportunistic politicians used a hidden, hacker-unlocked sex mini-game in San Andreas to attack Grand Theft Auto and the whole gaming industry?

Well, Rockstar’s getting their revenge in their new downloadable GTA4 episode "The Lost and Damned" by featuring gaming’s first full monty.

The dangling participle in question appears during lengthy massage parlour cut-scene and belongs to Liberty City’s corrupt congressman Tom Stubbs—who also has a Twitter page on which he posts hilarious double-entendre tweets like “Time to get on our knees and suck it up. Only prayer, clever government and tax breaks for big business can save our economy now.”

Unlike last time though, this new nudity hasn't sparked much of an outcry—even Singapore, which banned Mass Effect because of its potential for lesbian lip-locking, was cool with the expansion, citing that the depiction is “non-sexual and can hence fall within the M18 rating.”

Maybe this is evidence that our Obama-era culture has grown up enough to not be freaked out by male full-frontal—see also: Forgetting Sarah Marshall—or maybe everyone’s just too distracted by Great Depression 2: Financial Bugaboo to pay attention to a lowly pixelated penis.

Or maybe they’re too busy using their Xbox controllers like a vibrator. Oh yeah, you read that right. Indie developers on Microsoft’s XNA Creator’s Club have realized the potential once promised by Rez’s “Trance Vibrator” attachment. Last month saw the release of Justin Le Clair’s “Rumble Massage,” a XNA Community game going for a mere 200 MS points which is intended to ease the pain of long, lonely gaming sessions by massaging your "neck." The only problem, though, was its “ability to control the rumble intensity and pulse“ was limited to solo campaigns when really such a gaming innovation called out for co-op.

What better way to get your girlfriend happy about your Xbox? Enter “Remote Masseuse,” which lets you regulate the speed and intensity on another controller, locally or via Xbox Live. It boasts of being "great for long distance relationships" and supports voice chat, too.

This, too, has prompted little more than some forum LOLs (one Kotaku poster sagely noted “This will make me think twice before picking up a used controller”) so perhaps it is further proof that we as a culture have come to grips, er…gotten a hold of, um…have finally started acting like adults.
