It's been a while since I straight up reviewed some porn in this space—many apologies if your wanking hand has gotten stiff. Here's a suggestion to loosen up your joints: pick up a flick by Anna Span, currently enjoying a bit of fame as "the UK's first female porn director."

The 37-year-old brunette (who's just as cute as her actors) says she's been interested in sex and pornography since her prepubescent days—something that always felt a bit wrong to her, since among porn was entirely a male interest among her peers. But once a horndog, always a horndog, and after spending her art school dissertation contemplating what female-made porn might look like, Span set out to create some of her own. It's been a long, winding journey, which she cleverly recaps here, if you're interested.

Intrigued by the idea of gang bangers with sexy accents, I stopped by Good for Her last week to pick up Hug A Hoodie, Span's latest film. It won five honours at the most recent UK Adult Film & TV Awards, including Best Director. Set in what the English call "council housing," the premise is simple: young, hot chavs (which I gather is slang for working class kids) get bored and get it on. Female director or no, this isn't a couples film with soft music and fuzzy lighting.

These kids are foul-mouthed and dirty, absolutely including the women. Most of the scenes involve more than two participants, although my personal favourite featured only Sahara Knite (the first brown porn star I've ever seen) as a young lawyer hitting it with Justin Joy, her cute black neighbour—lots of toys and a big, fat female orgasm at the end. I did have two WTFs: one, frequent hard spitting on the female crotch during oral scenes (ew) and two, girls leaving their baseball caps on (perhaps it's chav fetish gear). Overall though, high production values, a multiculti cast and British accents make this one a fun romp.
