Dear readers, as you can see, it’s a slow week in the way of record releases. Luckily there is but one shining light poking out of the mess of Miley Cyrus and The Wiggles (Yes! Their latest is out today!)

The Black Kids’ first album, Partie Traumatic, hits stores today. The Black Kids made a splash last year at Athens Popfest (before they even had an album) with their infectious hit “I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You.” Their new single, “Hurricane Jane,” is quite catchy as well, so ch-ch-check it.

The Kids will be on Letterman Thursday night and you can hear the entire album for free on AOL’s Spinner.
