Top of the hump day to you all! Usually by this point in the blog, I've offended at least one person with an abrasive headline, a scantily clad image (that may or may not include a porn star) or a quick quip about Eliot Spitzer's love spatoon right off the bat. I obviously haven't done this yet and for this I apologize, but it's because we've got huge news to tell you.

The Sideshow is kicking-off our summer-long Toronto Roller Derby League coverage! This Saturday marks the start of Toronto's second season in the all-girls league and Alligator Boy will be snapping hot shots as I write the sports coverage throughout the season.

The first game is a head-to-head bout between last year’s champions, the Gore-Gore Rollergirls, duking it out against the Smoke City Betties. If you’d like to catch the game live, here are the details:
