Let me set the mood for today if I may be so humble. A little Oscar Peterson plays in the background, you’ve got a smooth steaming cup of java on your desk and you're prepared mentally for the official Sideshow introduction of Vivid’s hot new flavour: Meggan Mallone.

Adding to the porn ranks with other double initialled starlets (think Jenna Jameson and Briana Banks), this Texas-raised 21-year-old is the newest addition to the company’s top calibre porn star roster.

It was my pleasure to interview this budding beauty from her L.A. residence last week, and I'm happy to present my interview with the newest Vivid girl.

I read that you’re extremely athletic: figure skating, cheerleading and swimming. Do you still remain active in any of these sports or do you exercise now?
MM: When I was younger I did figure skating, gymnastics, cheerleading and my dad coached my soccer team. I was bound to be a tomboy. Now I don’t do sports, I just work out. I’m going to start doing a strip aerobics class.

How did you get into fashion modelling?
MM: When I was a lot younger, I did modelling and my dad pushed me to go to agencies to take etiquette classes. I did high fashion modelling when I was 18 and did runway in Houston. I got into the adult film industry kind of fast.

Tell me a little about how you made the move to the adult film industry?
MM: In Houston I started with implied nude, then I took it all off, then before I knew it, I was doing my first solo masturbation scene. I was a fan [of porn], but more of a fan of the girls in the magazines and the centrefolds. I knew more about that than the actual industry.

What was your first meeting with Vivid like?
MM: I was really nervous, Steve [Hirsch] was really nice and I felt kind of at home there.

Who are some of your idols?
MM: Jenna Jameson – I love her, who doesn’t! I started crying when I met her! I also like old idols, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe. I like their fashion sense.

What are some of the things you find sexy in a man?
MM: Of course, a hot guy with an Aussie accent and someone who can make you laugh.

Who would you like to work with in the future?
MM: Probably Briana Banks because I think she’s gorgeous and Jenna of course (I would go crazy)!

What was it like working with director Paul Thomas?
MM: I love Paul Thomas, he’s hilarious. When you put us together, we combust because we’re so crazy.

All great porn stars are known for having a specialty in the bedroom. What’s yours?
MM: I’m notorious for a good blow job.
