Hump Day: Kinky Crafts Event!

Wednesday, February 06, 2008 10:52 AM

Nipple TasselsScrew chocolates and perfume for Valentine’s Day – what your partner really wants is an anatomically erect sock monkey! This week marks the second annual Come As You Are Toronto Erotic Arts Festival and it’s gang-packed with tons of flirty activities to help get your sensual fix this season. From art exhibits and hands-on workshops (like DIY clay dildos) to the erotic arts and crafts fair, there’s lots of ways to get your craft kink on!

“We just had a lot of involvement in the community (for erotic arts) and exhibitors didn’t have a venue. It starts encouraging people to do their own work,” says CAYA co-owner Sarah Forbes-Roberts.

Here’s a quick recap of the events:

  • February 6th to February 7th Workshops – Make Your Own Clay Dildo, Erotic Body Brush and Decorative Rope Fashion.
  • February 8th – The Erotic Blender Art Exhibit and Festival Meltdown, a community fundraiser party featuring erotic performances and installations.
  • February 9th and February 10th – The Erotic Arts & Crafts Fair, Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen St. W) 12pm-5pm.

At the crafts fair, some of this year’s highlights include knitted-porn pictures, porno handkerchiefs and kinky furniture. For more details on any of the events, click here. For those of you who aren’t Toronto-based and can’t make it, we’ve still got you covered. We’ll be checking out the arts and crafts show this weekend to report back next week.

In the meantime, we have a little crafts project to get you in the mood. Make Martha proud with your ingenuity by making these lovely nipple tassels to dress up your nips! Here's the link to the project plan to learn how to make these from the show She's Crafty, courtesy of our friends at HGTV.ca.

Happy Humpin!
