I thought I should follow up last week’s Top Tracks of 2007 with my most-hated song of 2007. Aside from Fergie’s disgusting plastic-surgeried hopped-up-on-meth pants-pissing appearance, her music is the sound it would make if I took the time to shit into a microphone. Sadly, 32-year-old Fergie thinks it’s cute to wiggle her emaciated ass around while infecting my airwaves with trite pabulum. Clumsy, written by Fergie and Will.i.am is the worst of her worst, uninspired pop drivel with no real idea or innovation behind it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for good pop music. Rihanna – awesome. Beyonce – I saw her perform last August when she stopped in Toronto. Kanye West is a genius. But Clumsy goes from pop to bad when she takes it upon herself in the middle of the song to do a little talky part where she goes on about how the love bug bites her. It’s peppered with annoying little beeps obviously stolen from 80s pop band Trio’s one hit wonder “Da da da.” (Not to mention the video, a boring unintentional homage to the crap Gwen Stefani’s been making lately.)

At least Britney is insane. Fergie is unfortunately sane, which makes her culpable for the constant performance of the most annoying song of 2007, Clumsy.
