Guts and morning glories!

It was just announced that Halo-8 Entertainment has secured “worldwide distribution rights to R-rated and unrated ‘mainstream’ versions of the horror-porn titles Re-Penetrator and The XXXorcist.” Even better, both films feature porn star Joanna Angel and will be packaged together – a true box-set – titled The Sick and Twisted Horror of Joanna Angel.

In Re-Penetrator, Angel portrays a dead stripper slash nymphomaniac, an erotic interpretation based on Stuart Gordon’s 1985 H.P. Lovecraft’s Re-Animator. As Regan MacFeel in the adaptation of the movie classic The Exorcist, the film climaxes to its happy ending thanks to its jaw-dropping sexorcism scene. (Insert your own head-spinning-bed-fucking joke here.)

What I like is that these are true horror-porn films, not like Hostel, Saw, Saw II, Saw III or The Devil’s Rejects that have also been referred to as torture porn. I’ve found a couple links with commentaries on this relatively new genre of film making that constitutes going a step beyond traditional horror (Scream for example) and into the extreme movie killings. Aside from the occasional T&A, no one’s having sex. I wouldn’t mind having higher-quality films with true porn stars that go all the way.

As individual films, Re-Penetrator won an AVN for “Most Outrageous Sex Scene” in 2006 and The XXXorcist is currently nominated for the same prestigious award as well as “Best Special Effects” for January’s awards ceremony. If you’re looking for some gut-wrenching erotic flicks to keep you warm, the set comes out in late February 2008.
