Sometimes the Internet surprises you with a new time wasting application that makes absorbing all of the radiation thrown off by computers extra-worthwhile. For many millions of us around the globe, Facebook has been the time-killer app of 2007. Yes, we've all watched our total numbers of friends accumulate, had awkward poking matches with long-forgotten exes and as is the the case with Showcase.ca, started self-promotional groups!

But my Facebook profile wasn't complete until a talented co-worker pointed out that anyone can create a Springfield-style avatar of themselves at the website for the upcoming The Simpsons Movie. Needless to say, when combined with the previously mentioned social networking application, we may just have struck gold.
