The online broadcasting site launched on March 5, 2007 and it allows any user with a webcam the opportunity to broadcast a show and interact with their Canadian-only audience. Initial broadcast topics ranged from people profiling their pets to cooking advice; but with the after-hours channel now in full swing, it’s a whole new ball game.

What you find on the channel (as early as your first sip of morning coffee) is full-on nudity, masturbation, couples having sex and people interacting with users in sexually gratifying ways. Take this morning for example, when other Sideshow freaks joined me in watching a woman expose her breasts while munching on an extremely phallic lollipop. Or that dude who placed his webcam at the base of his bed to give users a better look at his one-hand jerk-off technique.

There are currently 46,000 registered users, and in April alone more than 1.1 million Canadians visited the site. That’s an audience most porn stars would die for. And I hope as users get comfortable with their broadcasts, they’ll take a page from the porn community by adding costumes, props or skits to their shows.

But for now, I guess the old saying holds true: stroke ‘em if you got ‘em!
