All Aboard the Chuck-Wagon

What up, Blog-Jams?

First things first: Happy long weekend!
And secondly, but equally important: Chuck Palahniuk’s coming to Canada next week and it’s going to kick more ass than a serial mule abuser (that sounded dirtier than intended).

If you’re not familiar with Chuck Palahniuk, he’s about as cool as that penguin that went to your high-school that was always hooking up with cheerleaders, smoking weed in the washroom and going to parties at George Clooney’s house.  He also wrote Fight Club (awesome), Choke (awesome), Haunted (awesome) and five more books that are awesome.

Chuck’s on tour to promote his latest work, Rant, and will be making four stops in Canada over the next 10 days.  Dates and locations are below, and get there early as his readings are always a zoo (think elaborate costumes, chanting and the odd fainting spell):

I’m going to the Toronto reading on Tuesday and am getting the chance to sit down with him that afternoon for an interview.  I’ll let you know how it goes later next week, and if anyone has any questions they’d like me to pass along to Chuck, please leave them in the comments section below.

Happy long weekend, hope yours is as amazing as mine (probably won’t be)!

I'd like to know where he gets his inspiration from?

Was Choke really an allegory for the rise of nationalist political movements in the former balkan states? What does Mr.Palahinuk feel should be done about radical right wing nationalist groups in countries such as Albania or Slovenia?

...if he doesn't answer that, what about this one:

My fight club recently changed the second rule of fight club to "the second rule of fight club is don't tell the grumpy dwarf about fight club". Is that dwarfist, and what are my options under the International Association of Fight Clubs for a remedy?
