The L Word Scene & Heard

For all you lunkies out there (that's an L word junkie of course), sadness looms once again as season three comes to an end this Thursday evening at 10PM ET. And so, it's a fitting time for me to spew my thoughts on recent occurrences.
[Warning: episode spoiler below for those of you who haven't been keeping up].
Dana Fairbanks (Erin Daniels) was killed off in week ten, having succumbed to breast cancer within the season. Her death seemed somewhat fake (even by TV standards) as Dana's character was an athletic tennis player in her mid to early 30s who received regular routine breast exams (we know her partners were checking at least). I know what you’re thinking, if anything should have been killed off, they should have started with that stupid theme song right?
Dana's death was pre-determined as Daniels wanted to pursue movie opportunities, which kept the actress busy prior to her L Word days. Did you catch her as prey girl in House of 1,000 Corpses? No telling if she'll return to her horror roots or not (I'm sure Dr. Satan is still out there if they could resurrected her character somehow). It'll be interesting to see how she does on the big screen. Curious about other behind the scenes tidbits? Here are some things only lunkies know:
- Katherine Moennig (who plays Shane McCutcheon) is Gwyneth Paltrow's cousin.
Rumours have it that Mia Kirshner is difficult to work with for both producers and actors.
Moennig is allegedly still upset at co-star Jennifer Beals for outing her in Beals' Advocate interview.
Isn't Jenny's former beau on the show now playing that dude on Ugly Betty?
