You want interviews with big name adult film stars? We got ‘em! Earlier this week I caught up with the first femalte-to-male transsexual porn star Buck Angel, famous for starring roles in Buckback Mountain and Buck’s Beaver, who was in Toronto for guest appearances at CAYA. But before I get into our candid interview I should let you know what’s up for next week!
Remember Erin Daye, the woman who’s made the most recent attempt at the gang-bang world record last year? I have an exclusive T&A interview that I’ll post next week. Will she attempt it again? What’s her specialty? Is there anything she won’t do? Check back next week to find out!
Now for the main feature, I present my interview with Buck:
Let’s talk about the industry; when you joined and what it’s like now?
BA: For me when I started it was really difficult, the industry was close-minded and against the idea. But they’re always looking for something different and when I came up with the idea (to be the world’s first male transsexual performer) I knew I was sitting on a goldmine.
I (eventually) connected with the cooler people in the industry and planted this seed and watched it grow. My first movie was Buck’s Beaver which I directed and produced. I have control over my movies and site transsexual-man.com. The industry does respect me now.
What makes you a good porn star?
BA: For me personally, it was winning the 2007 AVN Transsexual Performer of the Year award, I started to cry when I won! The award immediately works.
What does it say about the porn industry that one if its biggest male stars doesn’t have a penis?
BA: I think people are opening up their minds that this isn’t the 70s anymore and I’m bringing something positive to the industry.
Is having a penis a state of mind?
BA: It’s overrated. I have sex with a lot of men in my movies and a lot of them have issues performing. They’re nervous and have problems (staying) hard or coming – it can be super difficult. But my pussy always performs!
What’s it like being topless as a man?
BA: Before I had the surgery to remove my breasts I always ran around topless. I would wear low overalls and I felt just like a man. When I got the surgery I was too much of a perfectionist and didn’t want any scarring. I had small breasts to begin with and went through about 10 surgeons before finding one in Beverly Hills that treats gynecomastia (men who develop abnormally large breasts, think Meat Loaf's character in Fight Club) and I thought, ‘That’s me! I’m a man who has boobs.’ I had it done more than 10 years ago and it cost around six thousand dollars but most guys pay around two. I’m so proud of my chest.
[Contortionist’s Note: Buck shows me his chest and the results are amazing. The surgeon went through the areola and shortened the nipples which all but eliminates scarring.]
Would you have phalloplasty?
BA: I don’t believe in it (the penis surgery) and ultimately you don’t have to do it. It’s traumatic, you may not be able to pee or have orgasms afterwards, so why you go through it if at the end if you can’t have sex? But I still wouldn’t do it even if the operation was perfecto, I’m proud to be a man with a pussy!
A lot has been made about the size of your clit – how big is it?
BA: My clit was always quite big even before the testosterone. My vagina was more open and big too. With the testosterone my clit has grown to the size of half my index finger and erect, the size of my thumb.
Any comments about the man making headlines who's pregnant?
BA: There might be side effects (from the testosterone) and I would never do it.
What future projects and plans do you have?
BA: I’m releasing Even More Bang for your Buck 2 (CAYA is the exclusive distributors in Canada) and I'm travelling to promote Schwartzwald: The History of the Black Party. I’ve even been invited to speak at universities, which I’m looking forward to.
Final thoughts on being the first transsexual performer?
BA: I believe what I’m doing is going to change the world.
