Trailer Park Boys Season 7 Finale

Monday, June 11, 2007 9:31 AM

Well, last night was the exciting finale of Season 7 of the Trailer Park Boys on Showcase.

The whole season looked extra slick since it was shot in HD, but for the most part, time always seems to stand still at Sunnyvale Trailer Park: the boys hatch plans to do something more with their lives, while trying to stay out of jail in the process.  These “get rich quick” schemes always seem to cause shit storms with the law and Lahey and Randy who are forever trying to bring their brand of booze-soaked  justice to the park.

This season's 10-part story follows the boys planning and rolling out their most sophisticated plan yet; using model trains to smuggle dope across the U.S. border to Sebastian Bach, the has-been front man of hair metal band Skid Row. The final episode, "A Shit River Runs Through It," is the explosive climax of the caper; watch it now to find out who ends up in jail (you know someone is going down!)

Even with 10 episodes, for Trailer Park fans the season seemed far too short. Well, here’s some great news : Showcase.ca will be streaming the entire season from beginning to end, adding an episode a week starting next week.

Also, in July, we'll be adding a few other series to our online offerings, check back for updates.

ya for some reason the end of the episode seemed like it was trying to wrap up the season, with everyone coming to their own conclusions. just had a very 'series finale' feeling, maybe im wrong (and i hope that i am) but guess we'll have to wait and see

I think there would have been more talk about the show ending if that was it (I would hope). Nothing in the papers about it today.  I can't see them coming back for another year after all the wrap up they did.

I've been a TPB fan since the beginning... Season 7 cannot be the end of the series!! I think it's become a Canadian like Bob & Doug McKenzie, This Hour has 22 minutes, and Kids in the Hall.  I realize that it becomes a challenge to continue to write the show but I think the Trailer Park still has something to offer... maybe they can spin off another show like Fraser (Cheers), or Robson Arms (Corner Gas)... Trailer Park Boys marks "our" era, like "All in the Family"...

it's over.  that's the series finale.

how can there be any doubt after that episode?  it just wrapped everything up, and julian signed off on the documentary.

i think it was a good way to go out... nice and quiet, just like how the show started.  no hype and shit... just the end.

it brought a little tear to my eye, but it was time for it to end.

after cory and trevor didn't come back... and bubbles wanted off the show...

yep.  it was time.

There has been no official announcement made by the producers of Trailer Park Boys as to whether or not Season 7 was the final series. That said, I agree, it did seem like they devoted the last 5 minutes of the season finale to wrapping things up, didn't they?

^ I kinda felt the same way about the last five minutes - I'm left in limbo regarding the continuation of the series.  Could this be it?

From anything I could find online it does appear to be the series finale. Both V.com and wikipedia say it was. Also from what else I have heard is that most of the actors were signed on for 7 seasons and they felt they weren't getting paid enough and so theyu didn't renew. What I think is going to happen is after watching this season and reading an interview with Clattenburg is that the mockumentary feel of the show is going to be done as he said he was bored with it. If you noticed this season they kinda split it between mockumentary style and sitcom style and I think that may be the way it is going. I think it will be back but it will be different from how we remember and will be more like a sitcom. I also think we are going to have no Bubbles as he said that hanging out with Julian and Ricky is making him crazy so I think if they come back it will be like Cory and Trevor and they will have just written Bubbles out and into the mental ward.

We are SOOOO upset!

We wish people would stop screwing with shows that work!

A) BRING BACK TRAILER PARK BOYS!  We need MUCH more of them, not less!

B) This season sucked... WHY?  Because they weren't in the trailer park (that they spent all that time procuring and building up).  Because the players weren't playing it homestyle.  Because this hd filming sucks!  I like the old way.

Bring back the old way.  Bring back as many people in the cast.  Bring back our Trailer Park Boys!

I think maybe they're just screwing with us.  I think they're looking to see how much outcry they get.  Look how they managed to slip in a Christmas Special (or was it Hallowe'en? lol) that took place before the whole series started yet it fit in just perfect.

It's this movie crap... we gotta stop trying to copy Americans.  Save money on that stupid film they used this season... all they need is that Trailer Park they had set up, maybe 3 video cams and they can pass the savings on to the actors!

There's so few episodes a year ANYWAY... they've got plenty of time for filming other stuff.

I think we should grab everyone who makes the show and go Rickystyle on them... just "borrow" them for 3 months a year.

It's also insulting that we have been so faithful to the show, and this is how Showcase and the media moguls do us.

GIVE US WORD!!! I don't like looking for gossip.  Even though this is Showcase's website, even this is all gossip.

From some Americans devoted to TPB,  the last five minutes were a "are they really doing this?" moment.....and its awful to see things wrapped up in such a thrown together tacked-on manner. So much more character development is just waiting to be seen.......not to mention a Swayze cameo and the redemption of CoreyTrevor! We just learned of this wonderful(and rather familiar....) world last fall, and now its over?! Lochness Monster Balls!!!!!

The last episode of Season 7 sure ended like a series finale. And to be honest I really didn't enjoy Season 7. Trailer Park Boys seems like it has run its course. The storylines are getting ridiculous and the HD kinda ruined the mockumentary style of the show. It was weird not having Corey & Trevor in any episodes.

Don't get me wrong, Trailer Park Boys is the best show that has been on TV in a while and it should end on a high note.

I have travelled around the world and have had conversations with all sorts of people. Once they find out I am Canadian, they ask me about TPB. My girlfriend who is a BRIT has also taken the classic show home with her to show it off to all her friends. It is almost like a cult following. If this was the end........ now what? I can not believe that this could be the end. I say could be because I am hopefull that we are wrong. I saw Mr Lahey and Randy on stage out east this past spring and you just can not get enough. Since the very beginning of the show I would sit patiently every sunday for the new episode and watched the show every chance I got. I even dressed the part when the debut of the movie came out. ( yes I was Ricky and my best friend was Julian) lol it was better than going to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I am saddened by the fact that with such a following that the show truely might be over. Hey Mike Clattenburg I have an idea, how about one last season or even an episode and donate all the money to some organization in the home town of Nova Scotia. You want to go out with a bang? This will do it! Peach and Cake!

TPB forever

the USA loves TPB...i have been a champion of the boys since i found them just a few months ago.  Since then, i have watched every episode at least thrice and have yet to find a person who was not hooked after one episode.  I think we have witnessed the end - just like Seinfeld, i think they decided to call it quits at the height of their fame... i can only hope and pray that i am wrong, but i think not.  I also feel that season 7 left something to be desired, but it did have some seriously funny moments and classic Ricky rationalizations - of which i think my favorite is when he says that Jacob,  and the other dummy must have died because of "survival of the fitness" (they were too stupid to survive), just as he falls into the water for the first of several times in a few minutes.

I love the trailer park boys i own every season and can not wait for the next season to come out to buy on dvd.. i had heard rumours that this would be the last season and i just prayed it would not be true..this really does suck if it is the end cause the tpb is the best show on tv, and it is so much like everyday life that everyone and anyone can relate.. i have a pair of bubbles glasses myself and can sound almost just like him, and i have to stop myself from talking like him all the time. i love this show , every sunday i wait for the new episode, and watch it at 10 pm ast, and 12:15 am ast, I have gotten alot of people into the show just by introducing them to it, and i love conky, I am from STELLARTON nova scotia, and i am proud to say bubbles is from my home county..I really hope they bring the show back, i dont care who is not on it, i would like to see cory and trevor come back, but if they dont want to do it anymore, i commend them for the 6 seasons they put in, and as for bubbles it would be an amazing loss to not have him in the show, but i seen the pilot, i know they can do it. it would be hard to picture the show without him, but i sure would still watch it..i am hoping they ended season 7 this way, incase they dont do a season 8 we have closure on characters, but i do suppose if they got thier money form thier smokes, they are retired, no more breakin the law, so how would the show make sense, lahey and randy would have nothing to do, and no reaosn to bug them.maybe cyrus could come back and rob them, redeem himself and make them broke again.. i dont know, anything would work, cause the true fans are going to watch the show no matter.

TRAILER PARK BOYS...is not a tv show.. its a way of life.. bring it back.. "its not fuckin rocket appliances" come on boys.. we need this show... i seen the movie 7 times in theatre..LETS get two birds stoned at once, bring it back, and make some money, its a win win..

ps.. if u need someone to play a long lost member of bubbles family.. im in, get a hold of me. lol.. i can do a great bubbles i swear..

I've been a fan since near the beginning and love it.  "The Big Dirty" was awesome, just like watching a 1.5 hour long episode with no commercials.

The last episode of season 7 sure felt like a series finale.  I have no qualms with them wanting to end the series on a high note.  It was surprising that there has been nothing in the press beforehand about the show ending, though.  :-)

Season 7 kind of got away from the "mockumentary" style a little more, which was a little disappointing, though.

What we need now: TPB: 20 Years Later (or 50 Years Later or whatever).  I would love to see what characters are up to a few decades on!

Cory and Trevor left, well Cory anyways left due to a band he was in. He wanted to be taken seriously as a musician and not as "Cory" as many of the people who went to see his band only came to see him. I have no idea why Trevor left. Lastly that was a real shitty way to end a series that impacted so many lives and changed the persona of Canada to the world. You could have at least given us a 6 minute wrap up instead of 5.......

That can't be the end, nomesayin?  It sure felt like the series finale, but because so much of season 7 was outside the trailer park, maybe they wanted to get back to their roots and end it with everyone back to "normal" so season 8 can resume with usual trailer park life and roles (Lahey back as the drunk supervisor, etc).  If the Wikipedia article is right and there is only a one hour special in 2008, I'm hoping it isn't a "where are they now" special only because our fears about the show ending may have come true.

But if it is the end, at least it was one great mafaka of a ride that ended on a high note (still too early for me though).

The wheels of TPB were really falling off by the beginning of season seven.  I was glad to see it go, because it was becoming a cartoonish version of what it was originally.  It was all about characters delivering their trademark phrases and no real meat on the bones.  Once Phil and Sam became main characters, that was enough for me.  Corey and Trevor bailed at the perfect time, just as Fonzie was on the ramp, if you get my meaning.
